theyre exhaust is quiet & with the headers being so low to the ground my car cant fit in the car wash without bottoming out on the track.
i think im going to get Kooks headers with true dual custom pipes back with Borla mufflers

You shouldn't be taking your into one of those car washes anyway.

I just got a 2000 SS that has the dual/dual. Everything else on the exhaust is stock and it rumbles pretty decent. With headers and ORY it will wake it up so I am told. I will also be adding a cutout in the i-pipe for the extra sound if I want.

I don't know if the SLP will be much louder than your single, but I remember reading in a camaro magazine that the reason the single outlet was only available in 1998 was because it was a bit too loud for factory standards. They switched to dual set up next year... it looked much better on the birds because of the dual outlets in the bumper... having that single outlet there looked kinda out of place.

I have a 2000 SS M6 with kooks full lengths, no cats, and the dual, dual tips with a spintec muffler. I think it sounds super outside and not overbearing at all in the cabin, even at 100-110mph in 6th. If you were in central OK you could come check it before you buy.

The dual/dual is quieter than the SOTL on the 98' it also makes a bit less power. The SOTL is a great flowing and nice sounding setup as well but most people can't get over the single outlet.
