Spark plug wire installation
Help. I have a 2002 Maro SS and I am taking off the old Packard "OEM" wires and installing MSD 8.5 Superconductors. I got the drivers side in without a problem and the front pasenger wire #2 with a little effort. Wires 4 6 & 8 are tough. I do have full length headers and what looks to be emissions tubes coning from the headers to what I think is an EGR system. The headers are SLP and were installed when the car was brand new. I am sure someone out there has done this before. On top of this I have to deal with those metal wire cups with the springs on the end, they seem to fall off just when you have the boot on the plug. Please help.

the best way for me to take the passenger side out is to disconnect the battery and remove all the coils on that side. that will give you more room to work around. You dont really need to use the metal cups(heat shields) if you are using MSD's. I actually had an issue with the heat shields causing arcing. Just make sure the wires are not touching the headers. You can mold the wire boot to any position you like.

Then it would'nt be a Camaro. I have to agree about the trunk space and the tank but the T-Tops have to go somewhere and the tank is as tight as it can get. I think an access panel on the RF fender would help with T-UP'S. Thanks again.
