Book Recommends every 60 thousand if i recall correctly, if your stock i would pick up some stock gap NGK plugs and change them every 50 thousand or so. When you start addings mods i would change a little more often. Same thing with wires, pick up a decent set of Aftermarket wires.

I just did my plugs and wires for the first time right around 50k. I went with the NGK tr55 and the msd wires. I got a GREAT price with mark at KYSPEED. The plugs came pregapped to stock specs so it was an easy install. (I still double checked them b/c I have a trust issue)

take one out and check the gap. how long they last depends on how they are run. NGK is over rated junk.

That's what I'm talking about. I got tired of wondering if it was time to change the plugs, so I don't have to worry about it now, I know that I have a good plug in the car and they are good for A long time.

Are those E3's that great? Or are they just the new hot thing out right now? I thought about getting them, but didn't know any one running them. I was watching horsepower tv, about a month ago and they where doing tests on plugs. Well the E3's gave more horsepower and better MPG, against the leading brand so they said,But that was tv and you know how that is.

E3s are NOT worth the price.
Most all of the lsx world uses NGKs TR55s.
They arent overrated junk.

50K miles here
My NGK's are fine. I usually change my plugs at 50k no matter what I am driving. I did my TA at 63k because I wanted to wait and do several things at once and it was running ok still. I change my trailblazer plugs at 50kand my Celica. Don't care how long plugs say they last.Withbthe cheap gas they make nowadays I just like to change it and not worry.

Check out summit for the wires. Summit has a company making wires for them(taylor I think) as summit brand. I have an Lt1 and good wires cost 100 bucks or more. I got the summit wires and they were like 45 bucks for 8mm spiral's and just as good as some of the other preformance wires I've had.

Cost me $75 for my NGK's and MSD wires when I got them. Should be able to get some for that price or less if you get lucky.
