I had the car down to the shop last week to finally have them put in and they broke a damn header bolt off in the head so now I am having a neww top end put on.The headers do fit very well no issues installing them on either side they dont seem to make conact witrh anything. They appear to fit really snug without rubbing anything.I will get some pics up at the end of the week when the top end gets put in.
As far as the seller goes he is flakey.UPS lost my first set of headers and I am still trying to get my money back from this guy.
    thanks for the update.

what y-pipe are you running? The second set of headers, are they from the same ebay seller? can you confirm beyond assumptions and speculation that the headers are indeed SSAutoChrome / XS headers?

sorry to hear about the header bolt break. Maybe you should tell them about PB Blaster, lol...

Yeah I dont think they started in with the pb blaster until they broke one.
I dont know whether they are the ssautocromes or not but I do know that if you want to use the egr/AIR provisions you will need to make mods as they dont fit up right and may be the reason they are so cheap.I was never going to use them anyway so it matters not to me I just welded them up.
Yes I did buy the second set from the same seller.
His communications are not the best but he does have the goods LOL.
Hopefully UPS can keep track of them if you get a set and you wont have the headaches I have had.

I agree on the EGR and AIR. If you're not running cats then what's the point of keeping the other stuff, right...

my brother has the same type of headers that he bought off ebay for his '01 Z06. He got the stainless headers, dual h-pipe and some other stainless piping for like $500. They look awesome on his car and had no fitment problems. The only thing that he ran across was that there was a small pinhole in one of the primary tubes, which was making an exhaust leak. spot welded it up and now is good to go. he also made a big improvement on the dyno!

Yeah I have a couple around here.I took a few of the passenger side but they couldnt get the bolt out of the driver side so they had to strip the whole thing and redo the top end.It got buttoned up today and will be completed monday and then off to the muffler shop for a custom build of the exhaust.

here is one pic(not good quality) but shows how the pass side mounts up to the stock y-pipe(not keeping the stock Y)

More to come this monday when she gets done.

I am using a custom exhaust I have planned out.
Its just gonna be a h-pipe after the headers followed by to bullet mufflers and then side exit with boom tubes pretty simple I think and I like the look.

yeah they have the hookups for the AIR/ and Egr but they are not properly placed and you would have to do some custom fab work to get them to line up correctly. Not owrth the trouble in my mind.Just remove them all together and have them tuned out with Hptuners or similar as you will need a tune after the install anyway due to the loss of the rear o2 sensors.

Hey Firemedic... If you weren't running an h-pipe and wanted to use a Y-pipe for a catback exhaust system what Y-pipe would you use that would fit those headers... I only ask because I am going to purchase these headers next week.
