I had the K&N on my car and the main reason why i bought it was because i heard the SLP was PITA to install. Obviously not as bad as headers, lol. Either way putting on the cone filter is easy but time consuming but other then that i loved my K&N on my 93-95-94 Z28's.

I have the K&N FIPK in mine, but they both serve the same purpose only one is roughly $30 more. So it boils down to what you are willing to pay.

I can only speak on my opinion, I have no data to back this up but I like K&N Gen 2 for my Ram Air. The K&N fits perfect with the Ram Air hood. That air is "Ramming" into the intake.

SLP SUCKS!!! I have a 97 LT1 like you and the SLP is a bitch. not only that but it adds weight. GO K&N or Moroso.

RED 35TH ANIVERSARY PKG- 2002 CAMARO SS 35th LE
Look at all the haters... If you have problems putting on a lid.. you got issues then.. U should try the SLP CAI.. not just the lid..
