SLP Tuned/Long Tube Headers
what has anyone heard about these?
http://www.lmperformance.com/757/1.html
"You will see increases of up to 41 horsepower and 58 lb. Ft. of torque!"
that even close to possible from just headers?

I also have a set that I have yet to put on the car. How bad did yours scrape I have heard different things? What exhaust system did you have I have the Borla adjustable system wondering how it would sound?

this is what happens when you lower your car with those lts.
i had LM1, raspy as hell, sucked at high rpms and it droned. have magnaflow catback and it sounded a lot better, no rasp and nice and deep. however my pacesetters ijust put on sound slightly deeper and lower rpms.
Weston_24, my friend has that borla catback on his car with pacesetters, ORY and it is loud. it barks at idle and it drones at higher rpms. not my favorite, but i try to keep a lower profile. if you want LOUD then its the way to go.

How will they be if I don't lower the car? Were they hard to install?

you will scrape at stock height. most of that denting/scraping is from my car at stock height. i mb drove my car 50miles carefully with the drop.
dunno about install, they came with the car, but getting them out was a pain in the ass, until i loosened the 4 bolts on the motor mount towers and jacked up the motor about .5inch. if id done that in the beginning, getting them out would have taken 30mins after cutting the y pipe.
drivers side just needed a BFH (big fuckin hammer) to knock them out.
slp just sucks at their design.

Have you ever had any problems with your pacesetters scraping? And how much did you pay for them?

so far so good with a 2in drop. just scrape my y pipe (which was welded up all wrong and i should slap the guy who did it) and my spohn tunnel brace that i was too lazy to take off on speedbumps and driveways and pretty much any entrances with a slope. lol. but not the actually headers!
gottem off a member here for a good price. uncoated though. $270shipped. get coated if you want them to last longer and look nicer.

The Y-pipe that i have now has the cats cut off (not on the car) and wondering if you have ever seen this? Told it was to do away with some sensors I dunno? It is in a box with the headers I think I will just sell it all and find a new set up.

i would sell those slps asap. hope you didnt pay too much for them. cuz honestly, headers are headers and like nhraformula said, youll never see those kinda hp gains. sellem, get a set of pacesetter coated ones and ORY.

How were they to install?
-

took about 6hrs start to finish to remove the slps, put in the pacesetters. taking out the slps took the longest. as for the pacesetters, they just slid up on the passenger side, id remove the starter cuz it frees up alota space, and the drivers side took a lil convincing and a hammer.
