as for gm getting parts from them, look at what slp did, they put brand name parts on the SS and firehawk. its not like slp did the stuff in-house.

slp copied the airbox lid from whisper because whisper was the first to come out with it,
    slp copied grots headers,
the 85mm maf is nothing more than a truck maf,
    slp suspensions are bilstein,
    the rear ends are auburn,
slp cold air induction is a rip off more or less of the ftra
    slp sub frames=copied off bmr
thunder racing was the first to offer cams for ls1 cars so slp just joined in on the bandwagon
the firehawk hood is based off the gm ram air hood,
i could go on some more but im tired of typing.
actually the design of the BMR and SLP subframe connectors are different. SLP SFC tir to the middle of the car where as BMRs do not. honestly, there is no reason to argue about this because it doesnt matter who says wut, people are gonna buy what they want.

I don't have a concrete answer to your question, however if you want to actually get out of the package what SLP claims, you should consider it to be flywheel HP (not RWHP). If you count on getting 400 at the wheels with their 400 HP package, more often then not you are going to be very disappointed. That being said, with 15% drivetrain loss, the 400 hp package should easily net you 340 rwhp.

your correct, no reason to argue.people are going to but what they want to. thing that gets me about slp is their fibbing of numbers and they are over priced compared to likewise parts from others.
SLPs customer service in the past totally sucked also. i dont know how it is nowadays.

SLP gets rookie modders. They were affilliated with GM, and new modders (myself included) assumed they knew what they were doing and it was worth the extra cash.

    Boy was I ever wrong.
SLP ended up screwing me on an oil pump. The money wasn't the issue, it was their tech guy calling me a liar on the phone.

I had SLP longtubes when the car was at the stock ride height. Scraped them several times.
The car is now dropped on ProKit springs with Kooks longtubes. I have not once scraped the Kooks.

    They didn't 'build' it.
They slapped a lid on it, a different hood, and some decals.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Firehawks. Great looking cars.
But they aren't built by SLP. They are a GM car touched up by SLP a little. Just like the WS.6 is a GM car touched up by ASC Global.

SLP doesn't back their parts. I have no idea how well they back their special model cars. I would assume they take care of those as being associated with GM gets them parts buyers.
