    SLP Off-road y-pipe?

    http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=31035
This is the only one I found. Is that the off road one? I was told by someone they had an off road y-pipe for their LS1. So that's what I was looking for. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

It's confusing because the description says replaces the pipe behind the factory cats, but it also says it bolts to the stock headers ?

That's their offroad pipe but there are many other companies who make a cheaper one that works just as good. SLP is a name you're paying for.

That's not too expensive. The cheapest one that I found was Pacesetter. I was looking at this one because I know a guy who had Borla and a SLP off road y-pipe and you could hear his car from a mile away. Literally...

Off-road y-pipe refers to the type that would not use cats in the set-up.
That model shown attaches to the stock cats. So it would not qualify as an 'off-road' y-pipe. Replacement Y-pipe yes, as it eliminates the smushed factory design with larger round tubes for a 'bit' better flow.

If you want a replacement SLP y-pipe, search the for sale forums. They come up for sale for about $100 shipped all the time. Couple of them listed on LS1Tech this week.

This would qualify as 'off-road' type, ...

If you're looking for a y pipe to bolt right up to your stock manifolds this is the best one.

Yeah that looks about right, is it worth it if I plan on doing headers within the next year or so? I'm just waiting for my warranty to run out. I don't want to go through the hassle of them trying to fight it because I put headers on it.

I spoke with a guy from SLP about 2 months ago and was told they stopped making the ORY. I'd call and ask one of their reps to make sure before i ordered anything.
