If you want a Racy sound, go SLP.

If you want a more docile sound, go Magnaflow.

I just removed my SLP LM1 exhaust system and installed the Magnaflow because the LM1 was too "racy" for me.

The LM1 seemed to feel a bit peppier but I don't know how much of that feeling was due to the raucous note when you got on it (LM1 RIPS when you rev it)

Quality of construction is about equal on the two.

well, the loud mouth is an unrefined exhaust note. it reminds me of a garbage truck.

LS1sounds.com has good video clips of different exhaust setups. I have Magnaflow and I love the tone, but I also like how loud the LM1 is. What do you want, loud or defined?

I have the LMI and love it. Almost wish it was louder, as I'm sure my neighbors do when I leave for work at 5am. This is the same debate I had, LM or Magnaflows, and am very happy with my choice. Next question is what headers?

I had the LM1 and headers.
I ended up cutting off the LM1 because it sounded so bad.

I heard the LMI might sound raspy w/headers, but w/ the LM2 resonator it would sound good. Not sure if its true, just what I heard.

Pretty sure it was on the stock one, because he showed me the same video when i asked the same question. I have a LM on my car however i dont have headers. Iv heard them with LT's and it is FUCKING LOUD. Good luck not getting stopped all the time or having your neighbors complaining. I vote for GMMG!!

I hate to even bring up Flowmaster, but my buddy has their catback on his 00 ws6. It sounded like shit at first, so he had it gutted and now it actually sounds REALLY good. I figured it would be raspy as hell, but it sounds great. I'l try and get a sound clip.

I'd vote but I have no idea who makes my exhaust. I can tell you it's as quiet as a stock Lucerne in gear, but it's completely ungodly (no baffle sound) at high throttle.
