See I think if I had loudmouth I would get in way too much trouble.

I would have never thought it would happen....
But mine at idle (cutouts closed) will still set them off. I am sure it has more to do with how low the sound is rather than how loud it is.
Girlfriend's Z/28 is louder than mine through the exhaust....she has longtubes, cats, and the Hooker catback.

I love the sound of my flowmaster with no cats. I get compliments all the time. Very deep and agressive sound

I read someone wrote "flowmaster is loudmouth threw ear plugs" haha Never thought of it that way. Both has that sound that really stands out.

I have no rasp (LT, ORY (good merge), LM1)
My car hasn't and can't set off alarm's for nothing no matter how hard I try haha...
but my car sound's good to me and no one else has told me otherwise, only I love the way it sound's followed by it's loud haha.. It's deeper in person with no rasp at any time. Also it's a stalled automatic.

A car is going to sound WAY different (louder) in an enclosed area as opposed to an open road.

    SLP Loudmouth vs. Flowmaster?

I have the LM2, with Kook's catted Y, and LT's, and it sounds good. NOT raspy.

Also have/had both. Bought the car with mid length headers, bullets in the y, and loudmouth (unsure of 1 or 2). Great sound except the drone at cruising speed was insane! Then I got LT's, ORY, and installed a 16" glasspack in place of the resonator on the LM, hoping for a tad bit more quiet. Sounded like every other billy hick truck with dual exhaust, very raspy. It did sound awesome above 4k rpm though! And still had bad drone.

Now I have a used blowmaster, dont know what series it is but its a giant muffler. The glasspack is still on the I pipe. Its much more quiet, sound is ok. I think it took away a lot of the rumble. But I am told I can still be heard a few blocks out of sight.

I want to go with cats again. Exhaust smell is annoying. Im split between magnaflow and hooker next. Planning on dual cutouts on the Y so I can be loud when I want.

I have had the 40 and 80 series in the past. 40 series is a bit more aggressive at wot but sounds pretty much the same everywhere else. Its loud with LT's but not loudmouth loud.

**Copied from another thread, 'cause I'm lazy :

My dumped 40 series sounds ok until I can afford what I really want (GMMG)...

This is the only real video clips I have...

Sorry for the poor sound quality, these were taken on a digital camera on a typical windy Oklahoma day....

You've obviously never had one. FM is, IMO, one of the best sounding catbacks for our cars for the price.
