    SLP Loudmouth or true duals

I want to replace the stock exhuast on my 2002 Trans Am WS6 and I'm not sure if I want to go with the SLP loudmouth or put true duals on it. Does anyone know if there is that much of a sound difference? I want something that is extremely loud and raspy. I listened to a few clips on YouTube and the SLP system sound good, but there was one guy who had true duals with Dynomax bullets and it was by far the loudest. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but want something that sounds mean. Any suggestions?

if you have the money, go true duals. I have the SLP LM2 and it is loud, but you will get better performance from the true duals and they sound extremely mean

Imo the true duals will sound the better. . . check out tsp's rumbler x. The only problem is that it dumps before the axle, which makes the ta bumper look odd with no tips coming out of it.

Dude! Trust me, get it. It sounds awsome. I was the same when I got my trans am and I replace my stock exhaust to loudmoth and it sounds tuff. And its sounds way tuffer if you have your cats off! hehehe!! I really don't know about the true duals. But what ever fits in your budget.

Do you have cats? All I knows I deleted my cats when I did a LT/ORY install and drove 10 mins with no catback it was OBSCENE. I love loud exhausts, but straight pipes are too much from me
    To the OP, go TD's

I like the look of true duals. IIRC Mr. Luos has the true duals all the way out the back.

Yes I do have cats. And my TD's go all the way out over the axle. And stock manifolds keeps it from sounding like a fullout track car I love it though. makes me wonder how it sounds from behind my car when I get up to 5K?

I was hoping you'd say you had cats. The stock manifolds help keep the db down too. If you didn't I you'd break the sound barrier haha. I wanted true duals, but I did a budget exhaust which will do me for the next couple years

I had a LM1 on mine before I put the headders on. That setup was about the same DB as my duals with 1-chamber flows. The duals have a much more rich sound though.

If you want nothing less than brutality get long tubes and run them open. I drove mine that way for about a week before putting the duals on. I could set off car alarms on the other side of the parking lot with mine.

I like my duals but they are anything but quite. I got cats and put them over the axle to quite them down.

go true duals. here's my car on the dyno with the slp LM2. Not quite as raspy as when Mr.Luos had them on his car, but not the tone you'll get from true duals.

What's an estimate on how much true duals all the way back would run me?

I know this is probably the wrong forum to mention this in, but I used to have a straight piped 302 fox body. It sounded really really ridiculous, too ridiculous. So the next best thing for me were slp resonators. I loved them, which is why I recommend them.
