do you mean it is a stock lid with SLP stickers on it? The difference is Stock: should have a huge air baffle closer to the TB. SLP; should be just the lid, w/ SLP painted on it!!

Does it have a marking in the lower right that says "Blackwing"?
If so, take it off & send it to me. I'll give ya $50 for it & you can use that money towards a new SLP aftermarket lid.
Make sure ya send all the attachments also.
j/k, ...
If it does indeed have that marking, KEEP IT. DO NOT SELL IT. It is one of the best made lids out there. There are no other lids that will provide any better or significant results.
Fit, finish, & quality construction makes it the best lid there is.
Now, If it does not have the 'Blackwing' on it, & it does say SLP, ..., Chances are it's an aftermarlet lid that someone has put on the car. (I do not know if you bought the car new at this point of the conversation.)

where did you hear that the blackwing was any better than an aftermarket lid? i know it's better than the stock p.o.s with the baffles but i always heard it was the same as basically any other aftermarket lid out there. i know they're rare because they dont make them anymore but as far as extra power i doubt it.

What do you guys think of the K&N intake and filter w/no lid? looks pretty sweet, but I am not sure. I am debating on getting the SLP or the K&N. Help me out. Thanx!

The minimal gains from the K&N setup does not justify the additional cost. Just stick with the lid.
