SLP Headers
So whats the deal with these headers? Are they worth it? I guess they are like $850 with the ORY. I was thinking of Pacesetters, but the shop I might take my car to this spring recomends the SLP setup. Any comments would be great! thanks

I don't ever recommend SLP parts.

they are good parts. alot of people dont like them because they hang low. so if you have a lowered car, i wouldnt recommend them. they are stainless steel, so they will be more expensive than pacesetters. i personally went with kooks because of how people said they tucked up close to the body. i love them. a friend has slp LT and he likes his but his car is stock height whereas mine is lowered.

as far as i know they are SS, i was looking into them but like i said since im lowered, i decided not to get them. look on their website...constructed of 409 stainless steel, and they have been this way ever since i can remember. maybe you got some different ones then?

As stated above SLP headers have probably the worst clearance problems. They hang LOW. I have coated Pacesetters and ORY, got em for $500+shipping and I have been satisfied 100%

just depends on how much you want to spend and what type of conditions your car will be in. ive only heard good things about pacesetters and the price cant be beat. but i wanted to get SS so i got kooks and love them although they are quite a bit higher than just coated ones.

I love my QTPs but I hate the Flowmaster Y-pipe it came with (too raspy and it rattles)

A bunch of guys around here have pacesetters with the pacesetter ORY and it tucks up really well. Hangs the same height as stock. Another guy here that has Kooks actually gained about 1/2" of ground clearance. As far as performance, I don't know that there really is much of a difference.
