    SLP FlowPac vs FTRA

    Which do you guys think is a better route to go? I know the FTRA is about $100 cheaper, but what does the HP gain look like? Anybody know?

    the ftra with any aftermarket air box lid will yeild the best gains.

    yeah that's what i thought, but then i was reading and it said you will see the most gains by drawing in the cold air through the nostrils because it is pressurized as it rams in there..

    unlike FTRA where you suck the cold air up through the bottom..

    huh? nostrils? you mean the hood scoops lol? where do you think the slp piece takes air in from? yeah, from underneath, except that it is way too short and inefficient. anyway, the flowpac is just a slp lid, smooth bellows, k&n filter and slp cai. i'd recommend getting the only usefull piece from the kit, the lid. then go get a REAL cai like the ssra. the slp lid and ssra will cost less than the flowpac and give you more power.

    scoops, nostrils.. same thing! yeah that's what i was thinking too... im gonna see if i can't make somethin up myself first though
