    SLP Cold air induction package

    http://static.summitracing.com/globa...le-21033_w.jpg

Hey guys, just wanted to know, what and where exactly this goes. It says cold air package but if i install a ram air hood and ws6 airbox on my t/a in the future, will the ram air still be functional or does this suck in cold air from somewhere other than the airbox? Thanx

That CAI package feeds air up to the bottom of the air box from under the nose just in front of the radiator. Also, you seal off the current opening in the lower front portion of the air box.

It helps if you don't already have a ram air hood.

General consensus is neither. Super Sucker Ram Air (SSRA) or Fast Toys Ram Air (FTRA). SSRA has a scoop that extends to the bottom of the front bumper. FTRA has a plate that attatches to the air dam to help direct air into the airbox. The SLP system has a duct, but no extension the help direct air into it.

    Installuniversity.com has a write-up on the FTRA.

I have the SSRA now but i am thinking about using my ram air hood instead...

But it would be nice to know if i am losing horsepower with the hood.

From what I've read, the WS6 hood has some baffles in it to help keep water out of the system. The only problem with it is that they also all but eliminate any ram air effect. Some people have blocked the openings, but I don't know how well it would run in the rain like that.
