There's lots of people around that have it. I have it on mine. As far as being a waste of money, well that all depends on who you talk to.

Stick with your other post and get the SLP lid for $99 and use the other $$ you saved towards another mod. Do some research on the FRA! mod too while you're at it.

CAI is one of the first power adders people do. The factory intake ducting is designed to be quiet and draw in air from the cleanest places it can. Aftermarket cold air intakes aren't concerned with noise and a clean area so you trade noise and filter service intervals for quiet and 20k miles between filter changes. It does add good horsepower at a relatively low price. I'm sure your WS6 has ram air so a cold air intake is already in place for you.

Yes, you already have CAI with your 'bird. I know there are things available out there to seal your hood better to the airbox. Also, I have heard thru this forum that if you open the bottom of your filter box to get the ram air from below that it doesn't do anything because of our WS6 hoods. Actually creates turbulance. Get a lid first, they really help. Maybe remove a baffle or 2 in your hood also. Be careful in the rain if you do that tho.

I have the flow pack and i would say it added 10 flywheel hp. I could feel a little difference in it's power.

Well, I was being very dumb with my friends one night and it was raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock.
we were driving around and goofing off. I past him and hit a deep Puddle goin about 80mph. i lost complete control of the car as it was hydroplaning, I immediatly droped it out of gear and stopped on the pavement.
I opened the hood and poped off the lid and......... it was All DRY!! no water in the intake or the filter!

Well, that is good to know. I thought GM put the baffles in the hood for water control. I have never checked my filter after driving in the rain, maybe I will sometime. I have heard stories about the supercharged Mini Coopers having warranty issues after the engine locks up when the owner has driven thru some standing water. Guess that's why we here don't drive those things!

Pewtwer- 2000 NHRA Trans Am
I just bought my wife a 2000 NHRA Trans Am.We went to the track and she made 3 back to back passes and averaged 13.59 @ 103.5,bone stock with street tires. That week I installed the SLP Cold Air kit. That comes with the smooth bellows, lid, air filter, and the stainless cold air vent. Was about $310.00.We went back to the track the next weekend,Identical weather and conditions. She made 6 passes and ran consistent 13.32 @ 106 mph.
