SLP Blackwing Air Lid....
When I first purchased my SS new in 2002, I ordered the SLP Blackwing Air Lid for it through SLP.
From what I understand, this hasn't been available now for quite some time. I don't recall what I paid for this set-up as it is going on 10 years now, but I do remember it was a lot more than what SLP sells their standard air lid for.
So now that I have my Procharger installed and no longer use my air lid, my question is....
Should I keep this or sell it. I've seen some pretty substantial prices listed for this lid on the internet.
It doesn't seem like these are available much more and are considered more of a collector item than anything else. Also, from what I've read online, the construction quality of this lid is supposed to be superior over any other lid on the market.
Thoughts?

I'm more of the opinion of selling something that won't be used, unless the value will skyrocket over time. Tough call though....

Do you need money to finish you project, then sell it. If you don't need the money then keep it. I think now that the price is up on them it will not go lower.

I don't need the money. Just toying with the idea. If I sold it, I'd put the money towards new rotors/pads.

I think you should sell it too me, so I can have a lid too... LOL Still torn between a lid and the volant. But I say sell it too me. Problem solved!

I struggled on what to do with the unused parts from our car as well. I finally broke down and sold the stock rear after about a year. In your case, that lid is a piece that I would probably hold on to. Who knows, you may own another F-body some day?

I'd say sell it. I always keep my parts as well and then I complain about them taking up space in my garage...

Well from what I've seen, they have sold anywhere from $300-$500.

Put it on E Gay with a reserve of $200-250 and make a few bucks while the market is hot.
Some one always comes up with something bigger, better and cheaper. JMHO

Well if I did sell it, I'd sell it for more than that. That's about what I paid for it

I'd hold onto it. I can see it becoming one of those quirky engine parts that you'll never be able to find again.

i'd hold onto it personally. trust me on this!
i'm sitting on an OEM Ram Air Hood and complete Ram Air Box assembly w/K&N, and bellow to the intake off a '97 TA for 93-97 Firebird in my garage.
i sold an extra RA Hood for $500 and Air Box assembly only (no filter/bellow) for $375 earlier this year.
