    sick of the LM

so ive finally grown sick of the goddamn rasp from the SLP LM. So ive decided to sell it and pick up a new cat back and cutout.

does anyone have or has anyone heard anything about the jegs cat-back

If i decide to run this cat-back ill be also running a cutout so i wont always run the full exhaust.

its gotta be better than SLP right?

I am also sick of the LM1 rasp. I would not spend the money though on a new catback. I will be looking to swap out the "muffler" in the LM1 to change the sound. Its only 100 bucks or so vs the price of the cat back

Well your not gonna believe it but I just took my Hooker off and replaced it with the short Flowmaster 80 series that everybody says not to do but it really does sound better than any of the mufflers I've put on the car so far . Stock-Magnaflow-Dyno-max Super Turbo-Texas Rumbler-Hooker and now this . As far as horsepower difference , I can't tell any from seat of the pants dyno . But it seems to have a small stumble at low RPM's but really wails on the big end . Gave up some torque for more HP I guess . Might get it all back with a tune though . The Flowmaster just has a VERY DEEP sound at idle and midrange . Sounds really good at cruising speed with NO drone what so ever . Now my Z sounds like a big block V8 , finally . There are two different 80 series cross-flow's . The long one which is quieter and the shorter one #43083 .

not MUCH quiter, but its quiter and eliminates most of the rasp and drone you get with the SLP resonator

I know that I have a different exhaust setup but I'm running a 3' in 3' out straight through Magnaflow with highflow cats and a resonator delete. The muffler is just before the rear bumper. It sound sweet. Nice low rumble with no drone and minimal rasp. (Hows that for different?!)
