    Cool

    Or http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...id=174&sid=175

If you don't already have a good lid, then you need to add that and a free flowing filter. Cause the FTRA in the link doesn't include the filter or lid. And I don't think a cold air without a good flowing filter and lid would see near as much folw.
So money is around the same no matter how you go... to do it right.

The volant doesn't seal to the WS6 hood, so keep that in mind too. You'll have to get some weather stripping to put on the hood or volant itself to get it to seal.

True. Although that's not hard to do. A little foam that's used to insulate copper pipes does a perfect job and looks good too.

I don't think getting a good seal will see big gains or anything... its about as good as a free mod. Volant intake which I really don't know much about it just looks really gaudy/ugly and I don't see flow any better than a lid. The lid looks much cleaner IMO and cheaper as well. You can go black, clear or smoked in apearence and even paint it yourself to make it have that "custom" look to it. To each their own...

the volant is sealed to the hood. its kind of like a slight ram air effect because your pulling in air threw the nostrils.

Your right on the cleaner look, but it is all what ya want. I think the big ole honkin filters looks cool..

Do you think you can get the same flow with just a lid though?? With no additional change... Adding a ftra/ or slp intake kits???

i think i'll probably just go w/ the MTI lid just because it's the more simple than the volant, lids are more common, and i've seen actual numbers on the performance of lids, which i haven't for volant.
