Shortie headers
I dropped the SS with the Eibach sportline springs, way toooo low but it looks pretty sweet. Anyways, I can only run shorty headers... are they worth the money/effort? Also, which brand would you all recommend?

PaceSetters
I installed PaceSetters some time back (coated). If you are able to lift the car and have fairly basic tools you can do pretty easy. Changed the sound of the Hooker Cb and got rid of most the LS1 popping when cold. As to power I don't know. It certainly didn't hurt the situation and all mods (bolt-ons) are accumulative by nature. People jump all over me for not putting on LT's. I really don't care as it is my LS1 and want it to appear somewhat stock and sound great which I think it does. Also kept me legal without deleting codes, buying extensions, and sounding raspy and repulsive IMO. Do what ever fires your own rocket.

shorties would not be worth the time, money or frustration. since you dont wish to change/alter your 2.5" drop, just keep what you have and put the money else where...

I have the Eibach Sportlines and Strano-valved Bilstiens on my Z28. I've been running them with Hooker LTs/ORY for 2 years now with only an occasional scrape. I wouldn't waste time with shorties, just get a nice fitting set of LTs. You could also go with MAC mids...I ran them way back in the day and they are a good header with good fitment/clearance.
