    Shortie Header Question

First off I realize that Long Tubes are the best, but if I went with shortie headers would I need a new y pipe?

Shorties are the same proportions as stock headers so you wouldnt need to change anything. They bolt right onto stock y pipe.

not all shorties are the same as stock manifolds. JBA makes shorties that bolt directly to the stock cats. the bassani optimum length headers i have on the wife's car don't. i had to use their catted y-pipe.

not being a smart ass here, but why would you want shorties??? hardly any power increase to be had. Horse power TV did shorties on an LS1 SS and only picked up 9 rwhp.......plus they wont sound that great either, unless your doing it for the easy installation, I don't see the point.
