Radiator
Whats the best way to clean the radiator fins? I don't have a high pressure washer, just a garden hose with a nozzle. I have a lot of small rocks and grass stuck in the condenser and radiator. I'm guessing I just need to spend some time cleaning it out by hand.

The best way is to flush the fins out from behind, but the electric fan set up is not conducive to doing this. If you remove your airbox, you can get behind the condensor -- remove the airlid and take out the 4 bolts that secure it to the radiator support. I hit mine with a blow gun while installing my auxilliary transmission cooler and was able to get more out than I thought I would. Just be careful not to bugger up your fins.

I was planning on removing the radiator and doing a coolant flush at the same, so i'll be able to flush it out from behind easily. So i'll hit it with some air and water and see how much i can get out of it. Thanks.

Make sure you drop the block drains for the flush -- lots of coolant in the engine that will remain if you don't. Also, the factory service manual recommends against using a chemical flushing agent. Lots of debate on here over the years on the topic of Dexcool versus Green stuff. The only hard and fast rule is that you don't ever mix them... other than that go with whatever you feel most comfortable with. I run GM-approved Dexcool in our car.

I guess i've never had a problem with dexcool, I ran it in my grand am with no problem. I'm going to refill it with dexcool.
