    Quick question...

I wanna get these headers.. gonna try gettin em from dad for xmas

anyway.. i have a 99 t/a.. and just have a quick question about them..

the car is my daily driver, and in FL we don't have any emissions checking, would it be best to get the race style without the EGR/AIR? or do i need to have them to make the car run right?

eliminate that emissions crap and it will run the same, it will be easier to do plugs also.

I am in Florida as well. Gotta love no emmisions. Get the race style and pull all that shit out of there. It makes plugs easier to change, cleans up the engine bay and drops about 20lbs of useless crap off the front end of the car. No downside. Oh and QTP's are great headers.

yeah well i plan on keeping the car for a long time... was looking at kooks originally, i figure i'll get the same performance for a couple hundred less.. and i don't want the pacesetter to rust.. and i couldn't find the ARH without the Y pipe attached.. so i'll go with these.

don't think i'll get them, but maybe he'll give me some money for them or something lol..

gonna buy him a creeper so he can help me work on my car haha, i'm sure he's tired of moving around a peice of cardboard with a blanket on it

QTP and Kooks are the top F-Body headers.
And while they are pricey, that is a good price for them.

yeah i'd rather spend a few hundred more and get a real good pair than have to replace them down the road... i'd rather do it right the first time.. kinda gonna do a simliar set up as yours.. just not as big and without the cutouts . you did your's over the axle right?

Had to cut it down to 2.5" over the axle though. Was originally 3" pipe, but the larger Moser 9" was banging, so we dropped it down a little.

i also wanted to switch to the moser 9" sometime down the road so this one doesn't break, where did you get yours from? oh, and i wanted to do 2.5" x pipe, would that be better for me right now than 3"? i'll probably stay N/A for a LONG time and i may never switch to forced induction.

    thanks for the help

You pull out the EGR crap and all of it's tubing and the AIR pump and all of it's tubing. I am in Port St. Lucie.
