You'd probably be happier with Kooks or ARH headers and y pipe anyways so skip the QTPs for now.

I would reccommend ARH based on they have a better design, better merge collectors, and a better y pipe. The kooks y pipe has a crushed section under the drivers side which limits flow, and their merge isn't a "true" merge.

does ARH make a race style header without the air and EGR?

basballny2 and Vertiviper, you 2 crack me up just like that other tread where you 2 chimed in and discussed clearance.
But Vertviper, I gotta ask....How can a 3" ARH pipe possiblly give you more clearance to the body and the ground then a crushed Kooks pipe?? It honestly doesn't make any sense.

i have been wondering the same thing myself. he claims their y-pipe has better clearance but then says kooks has better clearance because they crush there y? doesnt make sense to me, sounds to me likes hes a troll for ARH and trying to market their product on ls1.com.......also how is the fitment better? my kooks y-pipe went in like butter. but then again, he wouldnt know how ARH y-pipes fit because he didnt install them himself so hes going on hear-say based on other peoples opinions. i installed my y-pipe and it took me 30 seconds to connect it to my headers and exhaust.......but what do i know, i only installed it myself

My opinion is based on every shop i've ever spoken to who installs both products all day long, time after time again. They continue to say, both are great companies, ARH fits better and has better clearance.

Kudo's for you for being able to slide one pipe over the other and tighten a few screws, one day I can only hope to have the competence to complete such a task.

1 3/4 will work fine with a cam/heads....if your planning on making it a bigger ci block than get the 1 7/8.....if your getting an AGRESSIVE cam/heads go with 1 7/8

Well for one, you keep saying that apparantly I said they have better clearence from crushing their y pipe...quit frankly you're putting words in my mouth and hanging onto the only thing that could possibly give you any means to debate which company is better.. If you're refereing to the other thread and my comment about Kooks having to crush a y pipe to make it fit......it was (again) a sarcastic remark that company has to crush a pipe to make it fit.

    I pitty the fool.

If you're putting a small cam 1 3/4 is fine...big cam, go for the 1 7/8 and ARH..their better merge design will give you much, MUCH better flow then Kooks...not to meantion the better clearance.
