Ported throttle body?
Hey I was wondering if it was worth getting a ported throttle body for $50 and how much hp would I get. Also I'm getting a ls6 intake for $200. How much would a ls6 intake lower my et in 1/8mile

you could do the throttle body yourself, but to answer your question - yes it is worth it. I dunno how much quicker you will be in the 1/8 with the LS6, but $200 is a damn good price. Where did you get it from ??

I'm getting it tomorrow from an old friend who was another Camaro which runs 5 in the 1/8mile. Also he is selling me some used gold roller rockers I believe for $200, is that a good price and how much hp for those. I'm going to try to lower the price for the rockers also.

Hey guys Im really pissed the intake wasnt a ls6 intake, it was an 97-00 C5 intake. Supposedly the guy was sure it was a Z06 intake but anyways I'm getting my money back tomorrow. But I kept the ported throttle body. I guess you cant really trust no one because he was supposely my friend and had bought alot of stuff from him before.

The ported throttle body is good, but the guy didnt want to give me the money for the fake ls6 intake, so I just told him to give me the roller rockers.

Ok I already installed the ported throttle body and did the throttle body bypass anyways I dont know if its me but the car feels hella stronger.Besides the throttle body being ported it was sanded somewhere else so I can really go full throttle and I was wondering if my fuel milage would go down.

Are you talking about the bump-stop mod? Concerning fuel mileage, it will only decrease if you get on it harder since you like the extra power.

Make sure the throttle blade is opening all the way. When I did the bump stop mod I had my g/f push the gas all the way down and noticed the throttle cable wasn't properly adjusted anymore. Originally Posted by CandyRedZ28
Follow the throttle cable back and you'll see the adjuster...I noticed a huge difference when there wasn't slack in the cable.

Mark Shaner just did my MTI TB. He is a master at P&P, the inside was like a mirror. Check out his website at s2performance.com (I think).
