ported tb's
heres a probably obvious question but I have no idea... can you port a tb on your own or does it have to be taken in? If so, how much would that run me?

send it to new era performance. They do them for 75 bucks and do a good job on them too. Ported tb's are usually claimed 6-8 hp. Its definately worth it. An ls6 intake is also something that people like to add while they port their tb's, if your dont already have one.

It's easy to do yourself, I'd like to know what big d messed up. I've done a couple LS1s and a couple of vortech 350s and one LT1, never had a problem. There are some great write-ups on it if you wanna give it a go, just search for em on here

they can say no need, that's what people say about LS6 intakes also, but a gain is inevitable either way. Any mod you do will gain you more in combination with any other, but one by one you will still gain SOMETHING

Do it yourself for free and save some $$. It's easy, and just as good as any of the ones you can buy! I'm starting on my 3rd one now.

The diameter of the blade is about 75.5 mm , the inlet of the throttle body unported is about 72.5 mm . When you port the throttle body , you blend the lips flush and smooth out the entire opening along with achieving a nice finish , I have seen as much as 11 rwhp on a car after we did it .
