    Ported and Polished Throttle Body

Thinking about having some Porting and Polishing done to my throttle body this weekend. Just curious if I need to buy a new throttle body gasket? How do you check to see if it's still good?

you should be able to use the old one with out a problem....you will just have to check it when you take your TB off. Just look for any cuts or indentations. Just clean it up, sme soapy water is your best bet as it wont dry it out. And if it looks good then just put it back in. I reused mine with no problem.

Ive had my TB about 7 or 9 times so far. I keep it clean. Still has the factory gasket. Clean it up and use GM dielectric grease to keep mine in good shape.
