port and polish TB and MAF?

i have a question about getting my TB and MAF port and polished.

ive done the TB bypass and want to get it ported now and while its out i was going to get the maf done too

will it run lean or any other complications if i get both of them done without a tune?

or will the MAF do its job and adjust it.

Do yourself a favor and don't ruin your MAF; leave it alone. If you are looking for HP, look somewhere else.

How about the TB, will porting it create more complication then benefits? or it's consider a safe mod that isn't massing up the way the car runs?
I'm planning to tune the car via your mail tune service in the near future and would like to get your opinion before I'll send my TB for porting and polishing.
    Thanks.

I did both of mine myself and before the new exhaust I would bog down in the lower RPM's but now with the exhaust it's fine. I've been at this a long time though so if you are inexperienced you might consider an aftermarket or Z06 MAF and getting a pro to do your TB. You also might want to consider an EGR/oil bypass canister.

What is the obsession people have with the MAF... BOLT ONS CARS DO NOT NEED A NEW OR MODIFIED MAF. REALLY. ...I'm not yelling at you, just in general. I make this post on this board or some other one like every other day.

Yes you can port your TB. If you change or alter the MAF, you need to get your car tuned too, though porting them ruins their WOT consistency.

I just smoothed out the ridges and polished my intake pieces. You are correct though, volume isn't doing you any favors in the lower RPM range at WOT. I feather the throttle.
