port and polish my MAF?

This is a discussion on port and polish my MAF? within the External Engine forums, part of the LSx Technical Help Section category; it seems like a no brainer.....eliminate the MAF .....airflow gain....and loss of MAF problems.....every 1 says a SD tune is ...

    it seems like a no brainer.....eliminate the MAF .....airflow gain....and loss of MAF problems.....every 1 says a SD tune is more crisp on throttle response....and i dont have the mods now......but will in the future.....and i always wonder why GM always went back n forth between MAF and SD

    it isnt a restriction as it is a 72mm as is your throttle body and intake opening..on top of that, a SD tune is time intensive...so a good chunk of change...on top of that you would need a freshing tune every time you mod your car.....that is why the maf is suggested for mild modded cars ...
