Pipes question
ok so i have a flowmaster y pipe catback and its loud, but i know straight pipes would make my baby scream. ive heard that using a y pipe with a catback actually adds horse. so im just wondering if any of you know if thats true or if you know of a cheap way to maybe remove the catback and weld in some straight piping
and thats just freakin cool

adding a aftermarket y pipe minus headers isnt really worth the few h.p you will get.

Just get the Longtubes and aftermarket Y-pipe and catback and you'll be good for an additional 30 to 40 HP with the appropriate tune.

I agree with the cutout suggestion. I heard its very difficult to get straight pipes on our f-bodies too. To save a lot of money, put the headers on to the y pipe. when u want the power (if you have enough air coming in to negate back pressure loss) open a cutout. -best thing to do
