    PCV Hose and such

well, i was doing some scheduled maintenance on the car and decided to change my PCV filter. well the hose that holds the filter is wasted, rotted out big time. So I went to the dealership to get a new one, well, it seems you have to buy the whole damn hose assembly. damn....were the exact words out of my mouth.. so, this damn hose assy cost me 130.00 dollars. also, you ever change out that hose assy on a 98 Z28, half the engine is under the dash.

just get you a piece of 3/8 hose from your local parts store. no need to replace the whole thing. and yes, i have replaced the entire PCV system on the wife's car. you might want to check in the rear section where three hoses come together. that's another place it likes to rot out at. it's really not that hard to do. just a little tight in the back.
