id say to me sound comes before performance. unless its like more than a 20hp gap, id rather have a badass sounding car than a good flowing muffler

I will take the good flowing muffler as long as it doesn't sound like crap.

    I am performance minded though.

well say it was an "ok" sounding muffler over a completely badass sounding one that gained u anywhere between 5 and 15 hp?

If it sounds okay and is worth ANY power over a badass sounding muffler...count me in for the power.

Doesn't sound like this kid will have money for headers nor will his parents let him buy them for a while. I say the Magniflow would be a big dissappointment to him. For the money I say the Loudmouth kicks ass.

The magnaflow I rode in droned pretty bad around 2000. I have corsa with mid lengths and it sounds amazing, but the exhaust costs $850 new and I have a mild cam. I have always thought the borla was designed poorly as only one side gets the exhaust through the muffler; the other side gets pretty much a variable cutout. The hooker sounded really good on my last car, I was impressed with construction based on the cost. If I were you and you are not sure how loud you want to be just get a cutout for now. It will only cost you about $80 for now and you can see over the next few months if you can stand being loud

Borla all the way...my second F-body with it, but the LT1 with borla was king in the sound department...

Is there any other way I could get them cheaper? Or does any one have a nice new set. That they would like to sell cheap 

    Thx Mike
tell me what tactic you used because they aren't budging on the exhaust for me.

That is what I want. Any pics??
I'm gonna end up getting a Corsa most likely. I think they look great. Worth the extra $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ just for the great looks.

If I had a camaro though I would get a MagnaFlow. Hell for that price I would have it all ready.

Don't feel bad. When I was 18 I bought a 98ss with my own money and paid it off in just over a year also. I worked about 55 hours a week to get it done but I did it. Pissed me off. The first day I drove it to work some dumb ass lady working there asked me why my parents bought that for me. Yeah, I work 55 hours a week because my parents buy me crap all the time..What the hell!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sarcasm

But on a serious note they are waiting for me to get a 4.0 GPA before buying the exhaust system for me (thats the deal anyway). Im thinking if I don't get it this first semester, im just gonna grab a QTP cutout and have the local muffler shop weld it in. Just got her tuned today tho and she runs a shit load smoother than when I first picked her up. Need to sell the hypertech now

i have that system but w/LT's and ORY...it's loud, but if you have the factory manifolds and catted y-pipe it will be a nice increase in sound and a little power...

that system however, can be had for about $50 less than what TSP is selling them for...$379-$389 is what they go for...

    couple videos for you...stock exhaust/cam/slp loudmouth cat-back...
