PaceSetter Mid-Tube Inst ?
Anyone out thar installed PaceSetter Mid-Tubes on a 2000 Z28 or similar? I understand they come with an intermediate pipe (header exhaust to converter). Are they slip fit intermediates or require welding?

They should be slip fit and come with clamps.
Never really heard of a bolt-on piece needing welding before.

Can't remember which brand it was some time back but when I inquired they said it had to be welded at the slip joint. The PaceSetter answer was a little vague so thought I would ask around. I have a welder near by but didn't want the trouble, expense and hassle.

I wouldn't weld them, especially if you have to take them off later. Welds suck. My F**KIN muffler shop welded my whole exhaust together, assholes.
But, don't weld, go buy some band clamps and clamp everything together.
