There are literally hundreds of members that have them. Myself included. I have never heard about them rotting out. Down here in Texas, I expect my ceramic ones to last a long long time.

Where the hell did you hear that? Do a search, there are millions of threads about pacesetter LT's, and I don't think a single one of them has anything negative to say about them. Best header out there for the budget-minded enthusiast. There are 2 main types of headers that people get here, if they don't have Kooks, they have Pacesetters, (for the most part).

how easy would it be to install the pacesetter lont tube headers. i want to install my own when i get them but it looks so hard. they are charging me 175 for the headers and y-pipe install. i wouldnt mind saving the 175 for sfc if i can do the install on my own.

It isn't exactly EASY... but definately do-able.... get a good jack.. a set of stands... a set of gear wrenches, set of sockets, a breaker bar, and a set of small hands and you should be good to go.. and while you're at it, would be a good time to replace your plugs and wires.

Just finished my pacesetter install. Not too tough. They "have" to go through the bottom. Only way to do it from top is to unhook motor. You're just going to have to get really high for that passenger side though. My front tire was about 2 1/2 foot off the ground before I had enough clearance.
