Would it be ok to run for a little bit without a tune? Ill get a frost mailorder tune when I can but probably wont have the money at the time of install
I would say if you're buying pacesetter headers buy the texas speed Y and don't worry about it.

I ran around for over a month without a tune and I was fine, However I do not recommend this at all. Only reason I did is because my tuner and I had offsetting schedules.

I don't have a y so I can't speak from experience but I would get something along the lines of the flowmaster merge if you go custom. The 4" merge they use has been used on the 500rwhp stock cu" ls1's.

I like my post count so I am just editing this. What is wrong with a 4" merge? It's not like your losing clearance like a 3" true dual car would.

Hes not gonna need a 4". I'd say 3" max. I'd even go 2.5" if you could.

Lol don't freak him out. he's getting Pacesetter headers.
We bought texas speed headers and apparently they sit further back than pacesetters do.

I'm sure (not 100%) that it will all work out just fine. I hear a lot of good things about the ORY with pacesetter headers.

TSP LT's and TSP ORY DON'T WORK. Don't try it. It'll cost you money.

ok good haha. I had problems just trying to put bbk shortys on my 95 cobra and this was starting to sound like a nightmare.
I'll do the ceramic pacesetters with the tsp ory, prothane engine mounts and a frost tune. I hope thats it? This isn't going to be very cheep lol.

Better than throwin money away in that ford. When you get the tsp y they come with U-styled clamps. You might wanna look into band clamps. Your exhaust shop will have them. I payed 50 for 3. Even betters, which is what I ended up doing was weld the joints when you got them where you want them. Don't weld to the collector tho
