Would an ory fit on a 94 lt1? If not what modifications would i have to make to get one to fit? Thanks for any info.

I don't think either Kooks or Pacesetter offer a direct replacement y for stock manifolds. Give MAC a call for that. They have a y-pipe that will swap right with the stock piece.

What if i wanted to turn it into a dual cat? Is there a direct fit for that?

Why would you wan't a dual cat y? The one for your application is fine.

Well i noticed that there were different applications for dual cat lt1's and single cat lt1's. Also that there was a little power gain from the dual cat setups. So wouldn't it necessarily be better? If not, then forget it lol.

well, my guess is that the ratings are +stock rating. the cars w/ dual cats will see more horse on their application cuz they are already a little more restrictive.

-example for clarity: AFR heads for a TPI advertise up to 80 horse, and AFR's LS1 heads advertise only 40 horse. . .it doesn't mean the tpi will have more horse than the ls1 after head swap, just a testament of how lame the tpi heads flow stock.

so the ultimate power gains from the different cat setups is prob the same or similar with either, but 2 cats generally restrict worse than 1.

The correct application for '94 is single-cat. '96 & up cars show minimal gains (if any, since the increase has never really been concrete) over a single setup. Ideally you don't wan't any cat(s) anyway.

Yeah, i could go no cats, rather not though. That MAC y-pipe, does it bolt on to the stock cat? Do you recommend getting a high flow cat to replace it?

Yes it will bolt directly to the stock cat. If you have to run a cat then i'd prefer one from Random Technology.

Would the random tech cat that fits on the stock y fit on the mac y? And would this fit with pacesetter lt headers?

Awsome. So pacesetter lt's, random tech cats, mac y, and a catback. Sounds like a plan to me. Thanks for all the help. Any idea what the gain might be with all that? With a tune of course.

Also, for the catback, would i have to chose from the single cat exhausts?

I'm worried about the raspyness of the exhaust. Hopefully keeping the cat will help that a little. Any opinion on that?

Wait, let me back up a little bit. Do you already have the Pacesetter LT's and just no y-pipe? If you don't have them already then it would make sense to get the headers/y together. As for gains expect around 20rw.

No, dont have anything yet. Just want to make sure everything would fit before i put it all together. As for the catback, will i need to get the single cat catback?
