Oil Cap Filter?
I was at a car show a couple of weeks ago and noticed some LS1's with a filter where the normal oil cap usually is. Any insight as to what the purpose of this is? I am just curious since I hadn't seen or heard of this before.

That's for people who delete their PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve. Mainly for race engines. The filter on the valve cover replaces the function of the PCV by venting the gases that build up in the crankcase and other areas of the engine, since they don't have their PCV valve anymore.

Gets old cleaning up all the oil from blowing your dipstick out.....we delete or plug the PCV and vent our crankcase to the atmosphere in hopes Hillary will choke on it....
This is my signature. It is mine. Nobody else has one like it.
