    Odd Question

Hey guys I just installed my 1 7/8 kooks headers and 3" catless Y. And The service light came on and I forgot to hook the o2 sims up lol oops rookie mistake... However it flys from idle to about 4200......... from 4200 to red line kinda almost like I floats off. Is it cause I don't have the simulators in yet or what is the deal the cars completely stock besides the headers and Y. Thanks for any input

The rear o2 sensors only ensure the cats are working properly. They should not hinder your performance in any way. Have the code read and make sure its not something else. If its not performing up to snuff there is something else going on.

I have heard that with LTs your mixture tends to lean out a the cylinders are scavenged way better. You need a bit of tuning.

Yeah you dont NEED a tune but you'll definitely benefit from it. You can do a PCM tune (about $125) to straiten somethings out but a dyno tune ($300) is ideal. Plus you get to see how much HP and TQ you make. That way you can see what kind of gains you made after you do more major mods.

If you want your car to run correctly, you DO need a tune!

+1 on the tune and them big ass headers are not going to do shit with a ls1 intake and the stock cam... i also have a 2000 with a ls6 intake and my car flys from 2600 to 5400 and hits a wall due to the high 90's % injector duity cycle... and i also have a alum flywheel that makes a big diffrence whe free reving
