O2's and headers
Was hopin you guys could help me out, im going to be installing my new kooks lt,s 1 3/4, and I wanted to replace the front o2's. (rears deleted), and I could not decide to go with ngk, or the delco sensors which jave been in for 62,000 ,and never had a problem. I can get both semsors new for same price(150.00), im just not sure which ones, but I was leanin towards delco. Also, was it wise for me to buy 1 3/4 instead of 1 7/8 headers for strictly bolt-on car?

Ill be grabbing bosch sensors when i do mine. About $68 each. Or of course you can get the 13111s which are a few bucks cheaper a piece. I might mention that i can get denso but they cost more and they have to be ordered in...so bosch it is.
Im waiting for my headers to show up also. Im in the middle of tearing stuff apart so im ready to star installing when they show up. I also got the 1 3/4 which others have said will be just fine for a bolt on car...no heads or cam etc.Last edited by 1MileCrash; 04-09-2012 at 03:15 PM.

if im remember correctly the 13111s have the longer wiring so you shouldnt need extensions...thats a plus. as for the 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8...1 3/4 will be just fine 1 7/8 might be too much flow resulting in possible loss of power, from what ive gathered that is

^^ Agree. Bosch 13111 sensors are the way to go. Do not let the parts counter guys talk you into 13444's.

Well as i understand so long as you have the lead extenders the stockers will work just fine

From what I have seen on here, run your stockers with homemade extensions till the coating on the inside of the headers burns off. Then, put in your new ones. Plenty of people have said that the coating on the inside of the headers will ruin your new o2's.

Whats the deal with these bosch sensors is it just that they are long enough already, more reliable, better heater, what? Oh and thanks a lot for the tip az gt! Ida been pissed had I ruined the new sensors.

I believe they are the Corvette replacement -- faster switching times and they just seem to perform well in our cars. Plus, the added harness length obviates the need for extensions or splicing of the wires, both of which can cause issues. I have not heard of anyone having problems with the Bosch sensors.

Get them for a 2000 vette with the ls1. They are really long, and you will need to zip tie the slack up.
