    No resonator?

I just got loudmouth on my 98z and the guy at the exhaust shop said it sounds a lot better without the resonator so thats how i have it setup and it sounds and runs great with no rasp...its just straight through pipes but the stock y and cats give it plenty of back pressure...just wondering if anyone else was running this setup

So, what do you mean 'no resonator'? Did they just put up a matching 3" pipe in place of the resonator or something? If not, and you just don't have the resonator, then you aren't really running a catback, just manifolds/headers and an open Y-pipe.

If you are running a LM with a straight pipe in place of the resonator and think it has no rasp, you must have no clue what rasp even is. With stock manifolds and cats the LM sounds very good with a nice deep tone and only some rasp. With no resonator it must sound like total shit. Put some long tubes and an ORY on there without the resonator and you'll really love it

i def know what rasp is and the resonator on my setup seems to be the reason for it and a guy that owns a custom exhaust shop agreed with me because without it sounds smooth but thanks for the input funny guy just wondering how everyone else set theirs up
