    next upgrade

Have a 2000 WS6 A4 with lid and LMII cat-back, looking for my next upgrade any suggestions? Not ready to lower, just put TTII’s with 315’s on 11”inch wheel don’t want any rubbing.

What’s going to make my car run quicker? Don’t hit the track, just neighborhood driving and highway…. Thinking about a cam or LS6 intake or long tubes to complement cat-back. Those were my thoughts but I have no car expertise. Have always liked cars (driving, looking at them) now that have the TA doing my best to learn everything about the car.

Also if I change the cam do I need to change timing belt? It seems that anything you upgrade requires something else to be modified…

Any suggestions would be appreciated … and HP gains and costs…

Thank you in advance…. Looking to invest $1000 this summer.

    I'd say long tubes.

You can still lower it with the 315's on it. That's what I'm running and I'm lowered about an inch.
But anyway I'd say LS6 intake, Longtubes, and a good custom tune.

stall converter. its the best mod out there for an automatic trans car.
you can easily shave off .5 seconds and still have a very tame car.

you'd have to pull the tranny to install.

If you've got the $$ when you decide on the upgrade, I agree you should get a stall converter....you will notice a SIGNIFICANT upgrade in acceleration and it will take away (or at least lessen quite a bit) those "dead spots" our auto trannys have....you know what I'm talking about-the auto shifts into the next gear and then it takes forever for the RPMs to get back up high enough to keep rapidly accelerating...

Whatever performance mod you decide to go with, DEFINITELY GET A STALL CONVERTER AT SOME POINT!!

One last thing worth mentioning: If you go with the stall, make sure you get an aftermarket tranny cooler! I can't stress this enough...the stall will cause more heat....plus, tranny coolers are very, very inexpensive...so there's no reason not to buy one and keep your transmission cooler/running longer.....

yep. definitely what you should do. no question there. longtubes are good for power but a4s just need a stall. will help a lot more.

Just like the others have stated...since your car is an A4, the most worthwhile mod you can do on that budget right now is a stall converter. This will yield a noticeable increase on the "seat of the pants" dyno and should be good to shave several tenths off of your quarter mile times.
