from what i've read, the fast 90 tb has a problem with sticking, the nick williams throttle body is much better.

But you might want to wait, I was reading about a new intake manifold from weiand (think that's how it's spelled) and it's supposed to make much more power than the FAST does.. Supposed to be coming out early this year.. I think I'll be waiting to see how it does before I make a decision..

Can't go wrong with 4.10's either!!!

Yeah, but who knows when it will actually come out. Luckily I'm at least a good 8 months before I do any major mods on my car so that new intake will be hopefully out. I believe it is supposed to make more low and midrange power and about the same top end as the fast.

Yep well it might pay to be patient on this one... They estimated the price was around $650, so it's less than fast and if it makes more power, even better

Well, if you deadline is a month, then I'm afraid your out of luck b/c I bet it will be close to summer before the new intake comes out.

Well, if I was you, I'd change the mufflers first and get some better flowing ones.. Have you thought about a good set of SFC's?

Also, do you plan on doing a heads/cam package on the car or no? If not I'd say go with the LS6 intake manifold and not the FAST, but that's just my opinion.

What do you do with the car.. daily drive it, take it to the track, what?

i dont mean to be a thread stealer but does a flowmaster choke you up that much? i was thinking of putting one on my car to tone it down a bit.

I don't think flowmasters would tone it down.. What do you have now?

I think he just said he had straight pipes, as in no muffler. A flowmaster would tone it down and I wouldn't worry about it choking it down that bad, I don't think you'll feel the difference in power that it might choke it back. You could always look into putting a different series of muffler on it, like a 40 series instead of an 80 series.

i thought the 40 and 80 series were the same, the 80 series is just mounted sideways to replace the oem muffler on f-body's. is that correct or your saying the 40's flow better.

its gonna b a daily driver... but im gonna do heads/cam eventually... and maybe consider a stroker motor because price of a 347vs408 is only gonna be about 700$ so ill just go w/ the stroker if thats the case....

oh and i forgot the mention its not a flowmaster exhaust system... when i bought it 2 yrs ago i looked at it... it looks like he just cut the muffler and welded a muffler in and put two tips... so thats why i was considering changing it anyway....

The 80 series sounds pretty close to the same as a 40 series, but for some reason it robs more power. The 40s flow better, but you usually only have one tailpipe b/c most of them are single outlet. You could get a dual outlet and run the extra pipe, but I wouldn't.
