For the price I paid for them...you shouldn't have to have them coated.

My money goes to better fitting products is all.

Its called 'PowerFlo'. its got 3 mufflers, the LM2 in the i-pipe, then 2 'powerflo' mufflers, one at each tip. From what else i saw on their site, the powerflo was for mustangs? i dont know, im not a huge fan of the way it sounds (clip on page). thoughts?

My experience with SLP has been mixed, some great products and some not so great. Like their headers, I wouldn't want that 'PowerFlo' on my car even if they gave it to me. Heck, not even if they paid me for it.

This system is a full 6dB quieter at idle and 9dB quieter at 2000 rpm then the SLP Loudmouth II cat-back.

And why would anyone want this??????????

I am all for quiet personally.
    Well...not quiet, but tame.

But not with the SLP sound. If it is quiet, it can't be raspy.
    Just has to growl.

That's a sexy combo. I keep wanting to cheap out and buy one of the lesser brands, but I'm determined to save up for Kooks.

Yeah Kooks are great. My 1-7/8", Random Tech-catted Y, and B&B Tri-Flo setup sounds awesome. With the cut-out open it just sounds plain Bizarre!

I have the SLP LM2 with pacesetter LT's and ORY.........its loud to say the least. If you dont want raspy, dont go with slp period. Personally, i like it. It has a mean idle with the cam, gets VERY loud and raspy at 3000rpms, and then smooths out the rest of the way. It also turns a lot of heads

I had the LM1 on a '93 Z28 w/ SLP LT's and SLP-catted Y-pipe, and it was very loud. How much quieter is the LM2 really than the LM1?

I'd say a good bit quieter.
