i know on my 04 goat, i have pacesetter longtubes. on hard acceleration the motor torques over just enough to hit the steering shaft and when its in the right position it grabs the bolt in the shaft.....scary at first, but i just got used to it.
if you have access to a torch, you might beable to get the runner hot and gently felx it alittle out of the way......i have a torch, but im just lazy

mine is similar, my header hits just below the steering arm i believe its the crossmember, there is like a half an inch gap regularly and at wot or half throttle turning mine will rub it a couple times. i came to the conclusion that i need new motor mounts although i havent checked them yet. so good luck

    thats my header!!!
