need more help with ls6 intake....
I just got an ls6 intake from a guy and am swapping the old ls1 intake with it. I have everything hooked up but, on the very back hole I can't remove that plug. GM says it is pressed in and that I would need to get a whole new intake cause they don't sell just that piece. Where in the hell can I find this piece, after market or stock?...........someone please help me!!!
2000 Arctic White trans am, ws6 hood, ws6 air box, slp lid, slp smooth bellows, slp loudmouth exhaust,shift kit, rebuilt trans, LS6 intake, 3.73 gears, Shaner S3 p/p throttle body, and a tune . SFC. C6 ZO6 rims 18" in back 17" in front. Drilled and slotted rotors.

What plug? What are you trying to remove?

i'm trying to remove the big plug in the back of the intake. a couple of hoses come off it . it is in the very back of the intake. it won't come out and gm says it is pressed in. do you know where i can get an aftermarket one?

so, the LS6 intake you bought didn't have it?

yeah why would you need to take it off? I tried to pull mine off to clean the intake and I couldnt get it out. It did spin around though. I didnt hurt the seal did I? I mean is this going to leak?? Thanks

no the ls6 intake didn't have it........long story short the mechanic got it out......and gm lied it can come out it just takes some muscle.........i love this forum it has helped me out so much........thanks a lot guys!!!
