need help with parts installation
Hi there. Newbie to the camaro scene with a technical question.
Do the MAF sensor available through SLP and the smooth bellows work together or does the MAF make the smooth bellows redundant?
Thanks for your help!

the smooth bellow is just a piece of rubber that replaces the stock accordian style with a smoother piece,i would just stay with the stock maf

dont even mess with the slp maf (unless your going straight to get it dyno tuned), it'll make your engine run lean, mine caused pinging at low rpm, car ran crappy till it got to over 3k rpms and they usually throw a code causing the ses light to come on(mine did). a lot of other memebers have had the same experience, hopefully they chime in. i took mine off and its been siting in my closet ever since, spend your money elsewhere.

oh and a cheap substitute for the smooth bellows is a 3 (or 3 1/2 i forget) inch ferco from home depot, its like 4$ compared the the smooth bellows 40$ or 60$.

I run the SLP MAF but my car is also dyno tuned. The stock one works just fine though... NOT worth the $180 IMO.

Wish I'd have posted this thread B4 I went and bought the SLP smooth bellows. The cheap home depot options sounds like the way to go!
