My FAST intake isn't going in as planned...Help please.

I have a 1999 Corvette and I can't get the FAST 78mm manifold to fit into place. I bought the manifold from a guy with a '04 GTO and did the coolant tube swap. I can't get the manifold to sit down or go back far enough. There is a rubber hose that runs around the back of the manifold that goes from the passanger side valve cover to the driver side valve cover. It seems like it might be blocking it a little but feels caught on something else that i can't figure out. Anybody else have this problem with their 99?

The problem might be the valley cover screws. Did you change the screws that hold the valley cover on? The stock screws are too high and won't allow the FAST to seat all the way. The FAST comes with special replacement screws. Did you get those with the manifold?

You guys are both right. I feel pretty stupid for not figuring that out. The bolts were under the padding in the box in a seperate bag and I didn't see them. Do I need to relocate my MAP sensor? from the back to somewhere else?

no, you can place it where it is, find out exactly how you need to place it and then silicone it into place so that it stays secure and no air leaks. then youre good to go
