my catback keeps falling off of the hanger

So just like the title says, my exhaust keeps falling off if the hanger that holds the catback up in the rear on the drivers side. This started a few days ago it fell off and it keels backing out of the hanger when i put it back on. It does this while driving, if anyone has any advise on how to keep it from backing out that would be great. I will take pictures later. Thanks in advance.

mine did this exact thing, my catback was clamped, not welded, so i went back and got a few inches of the I-pipe cut out, and welded it all up

How did that help it from backing out of the hanger? I thought about welding a nut or something on the otherside of the rubber piece so it cannot come out. Also how much should something like what you had done cost?

I took it back to the shop who installed it, and they fixed it for free.

it comes out of the hanger because the exhaust is too long, I tried EVERYTHING to get it to stay, no luck, but i noticed that my rubber piece was at an angle when it was attached, not straight down, so I got my whole cat-back moved forward a little bit, so now its pulling straight down, not back at an angle

Alright I'll see if the shop will do it. Wonder why it started doing it after a year of it being on though. Was the hole on the bottom of your rubber piece stretched out at all?

no not really...mine started doing it 5 or 6 months after install...but i think mine did it from dragging my muffler, it slowly slid the I-pipe out of its clamp at the Y-pipe, until it finally made it long enough to fall out of the hanger

Check all of your clamp connections. One might have came loose and your exhaust could have slid/shifted some causing your issue.

had this problem also, I found a small U clamp that fit over the hangar and installed it, this kept the grommet from coming off again. The problem was that the grommet catch had rounded off and was allowing it to slip off. The small U clamp which pretty much looks like the ones used for exhaust pipes, only costs around $1 or less.

I will check that to make sure that it is all secure.

Okay, so none of my band clamps are loose. The hanger on my passenger side isn't attached to the exhaust in anyway, it is just resting on my lower panhard bar(I think). The plate on the rear of the passenger side isn't attached to anything, how is it supposed to be attached? It has two holes and is welded on to the catback. There is still strain on the hanger on my drivers side but I put new rubber on it and it is tight. I think I should atleast be able to make it to a shop. Should any repair shop be able to weld? The place I had do my exhaust is kinda far if my exhaust isn't secure.

So an update, I took it to a shop and they tack welded it and clamped it down. They fabbed up a bracket that I was missing all is well now except I found out I have a massive vacuum leak that the shop that installed the intake were suppose to fix.

I meant is fitment on the intake like stock and do you have to have aftermarket fuel rails? I do but I am just curious.
