hooker, magnaflow, flowmaster, IMCO cherry bomb, v-force, pypes
almost all the companies that make catback systems for these cars will sell just the muffler. all sound good. magnaflow will probably be the quietest. hooker is always a good choice. flowmaster sounds pretty decent on a stock car, the cherry bomb is almost identical to the flowmaster but is a bit louder, v-force is a knock off flowmaster, and pypes i have never heard in person but there catback sounds nice

Can't speak for the rest but my Hooker bolted up without too much of a problem. The usual nasty muffler installation.

I have JBA mufflers and like them.

They all sound good on a V8 LS1 to me. Everyone has a particular sound they are looking for. e.g. I don't care for the raspy but some do.

If it were me i'd go with a Magnaflow muff and a cut-out.

i have a flowmaster 40 and no cats and have gotten a few compliments on how good it sounds, too quite for my taste at idle but screams at WOT. i will be getting a cutout soon also.
