MS4 , took the plunge , anything else i should need ?
so last weekend i blew a spark plug out of the 3rd cylinder . and while tearing the head off and looking at my bank account , i figured im allready this far , i might as well do the cam swap i have been wanting for the past year.
so i orderd the cam package from texas speed with the MS4 cam, new timing chain, lingenfelter heavy duty oil pimp, throttle bodie ported , im not going to port the heads yet, but i know i need to in order to make this cam happy.
anything else anyone things i should concider while this far ?
i do plan on reusing the stock rockers , does anyone thing that is a bad idea ?

you'll probably also want larger injectors and a better fuel pump...

I'm looking the the same cam. Talked with TS&P last week and was told that at the very least I would need to upgrade to double valve springs with titanium retainers and hardened pushrods if your reusing stock heads for that cam.
Spaz is right about the rear and also getting PRC LS6 Stage 2.5 CNC Ported Cylinder Heads would really wake up this cam along with a FAST 90.
Please let me know how it goes with this cam.

You're going to need atleast a 3800rpm stall,if you're an A4.

when i orderd they recomended the same ...i am reusing the stock heads but im haveing them ported to give me some more flow to make the cam a bit happier.
the car is a M6 so i dont need a stall , although i do want gears. im on my 3rd 10 bolt , ive had horrible luck when them, i need to go to a 9" with some high gears .
the cam and everything will be here tomorrow , i have the engine all apart and ready to put back together , ill get some pics and post up when shes all done. ill get the dyno sheet this weekend hopefully so we will see what kind of number i can make

I'd say a new 9" is to be next in your to do list. That cam is going to put one hell of HP to that rear. You may be on your next rear very soon.

You might want to look into the comp cams trunion upgrade since you're gonna have the rockers off anyway.

ok , update time , took me alot longer then expected ( mainly waiting on that oil pump)
sorry for lack of pictures and quality. i was working alone and pics are from my cellphone.
going to pick up my heads today , ended up haveing valves redone too so that put a little more time on them. should have a good start up video up by tonight
everything went really smooth. i would say the hardest pump was getting the oil pump off actually , but once i figured i could tie a wire around the bolt to keep it from falling in the oil pan , everything was easy.
only took me about 5 min to get the old cam out of the block and new one in, very easy compaired to past cams i have taken out.
i will be takeing the car to a Tune+dyno over at Newtech to see what kind of power i can make this weekend.
anyone who needs help or advice on this swap , feel free to PM me , ill be happy to help out with my given experience.
also to anyone wandering , i will be daily driving this set up ! good thing my work is only about 2 miles from my house.
